SeaTrees has partnered with the MedGardens project of The Cleanwave Foundation to restore the seagrass and macroalgae ecosystems surrounding Mallorca, in the Balearic Islands of Spain. Years of disruption caused by boat traffic and less than adequate boating guidelines have led to the destruction of these critical ecosystems. With your support, we can bring them back and help them thrive for years to come.
Each sq-ft of seagrass and macroalgae restored helps by:
planting seagrass
growing macroalgae
removing marine debris
educating the local community and local boat captains
supporting volunteer activations
adding conservation signage in tourist areas
monitoring and maintenance of restored areas
